The Mission of the Joy Givers Preschool is to collaborate with parents, grandparents and friends of preschool children to nurture them in the admonition of the Lord. Our focus any time under our care is to teach, beginning with the bed babies. Singing to them, rocking them and saying the words, Bible, God, Jesus, Church & Love is love in action. The creepers, toddlers, twos, threes, fours, and kindergarten are taught the same words as they develop and grow in motor skills. Prayer and Giving are reinforced by activities in the classroom. A curriculum, Family Bible Study, is used with preschool thru children, youth and adults. The topics are the same and taught according to the age groups.
A security number identification is in place for all children in the Joy Givers area. Extra precautions are taken to provide utmost security during all activities.
The Sunday school hour begins @ 9:00AM and teachers arrive 30 minutes before. The extended session teachers arrive at 10:00 AM, allowing our Sunday school teachers to attend church service. Trained, experienced teachers and volunteers staff the extended sessionon on a four-week rotation basis, meaning they will only be asked to volunteer once every four weeks. The lesson provided during extended session is an extension on the lesson from the morning and this lesson is mailed to the volunteer the week before. During the week, the coordinator gathers all materials needed and has them ready for the volunteers in a brown paper sack with snack included.
Evening childcare begins @ 5:00pm with our staff arriving 15 minutes before. Our staff of evening workers are trained and experienced in the age groups they are scheduled to care for. A simple lesson or activity is provided for birth thru two years. During worship, the three-year-olds are taught from the "Wherever, Whenever" curriculum. Pre-kindergarteners and kindergarteners have the opportunity to attend "big" church.
